District Blossoms
The slow change of seasons has again crept upon us, bringing back sunlight into our homes and brighter hues onto the sidewalks. Every springtime it has become a tradition for me to collect handfuls of fallen cherry blossom petals. I would place some in jars to decorate my bookshelves, others I would send in small packets for friends and family who live far away. This year, the trees around the tidal basins are blocked off with caution tape and guards to ward off the typical crowds. While we have been adjusting to new ways of passing the time indoors, I hope you can enjoy a few cherry blossoms from 2018-19. For those who have had to relocate from D.C. because of recent events, these photos are dedicated to you. Cheers & stay safe! 🌸🌱
